Luke has a point, no matter what IM service you use data is stored on the provider's server. (And with Google you never know when they may deploy a Google IM Search)

I'm saying that I'd trust a program made by Google before I would trust a program made by America Online, Yahoo!, Microsoft or ICQ, no matter what features they have, voice or not.
