I am confused...... ID makes the engine and Raven made the game sicne they are the devs or did ID hogpog a game togather give it to raven and told them what not to do?

Activision just distributes the game they have no power to make patchs without the devs help right.....

ID:Owens the rights to the game and engine

Raven:Developed the game

Activision:Distrubtes the games and begs the other 2 for patchs?

if this is they way it works no wonder so many games are going to pot becuse all the seprate houses wont talk to each other....

Who is to blame? Raven of course. They always had problems with programming.

I think I am to blame only myself for buying the game for MP.  Since I am the one, who will have to endure the performance degrade of my system hardware to play it, as well as to listen to allot of people flame and bicker about things.  I just wanted something different after playing EF, which I did enjoy for awhile.

After seeing allot of bickering on forums, and game servers, I still can't believe I brought this product for fun.

I do share some dissappointments of other players, but fail to see how it is going to fix anything on the game by demanding and flaming developers.  Seems the community tends to find things around problem areas, and yet want Raven to fix it immediately when the game hasn't really been out for too long.

I dunno.. maybe I'll feel better about the blame I place on myself, when I get a better video card, and if a patch will fix all or some of the issues that Raven may consider that needs to be fix.

Reason I got it was for a supposed A class SP game and got a bearly above average game...that still dose not answer anything....and one of the reasons why we are here holding raven to the fire is becuse ID dose not have the balls to run a form and let the masses let them know how they feel....

Heretic II is horribly bugged. heXen II is.

Heh I have only found 2 or so palces you can jump to and be stuck,both Heretic 2 and Hexen 2 are neat B class games , are we talking the crash out to window kind of bugs..altho i do rmember a few fudged up saves on Hexen 2

Well, I had 3 versions of Heretic II, and they all had the same problems. Heretic II stopped loading after a certain number of saves, if you used OpenGL. That is a big problem, but for some reason it allows to autoload... Also, too with OpenGL, the game crashed if you die, especially in Swamp and when falling. Apart from that Swamp, Andoria, and Kachekrik were full of places where my guy just got really stuck. These bugs were terribly annoying.

heXen II has the bug of not running in GL mode normaly. Once it threw me in the BMoD even.

A game never 100% perfect :P
