did you recompile after the changes?
a change to the .map does not constitue a change to a bsp [angryalien]

Check your compile log and see if there are any errors in there. Could be it's not outputting a newer bsp file.

ok, I deleted the .bsp's. but when I ran codbuilder, it said it couldnt make a .bsp becuase no prevous .bsp was found, which doesnt make sense to me becuase I dont use this tool often. when I use my compile.bat that I made, I found one thing, it said

entity 0, brush 34: lightmap allocation failed after it was trying to write the .prt

If you deleted the bsp that's exactly what codbuilder will say.
Use Misc/Find Brush and put that number in. Then hit the backspace key to get rid of it.

If the Compiler don't make a prt file there will be no bsp made.

Well, I'm having this exact same problem. ANd have tried all the above.

I'm sure my compile is writng the .prt though.

Anyone any ideas. Could it be due to a couple of lightmap allocation erros I have?
