At work, I have 2 PCs that run that program so the users can find books in the library.  I want the window to always stay open and that can't be shutdown.  It uses IE for display.  Any tips?

There's gotta be something because the computers at the local library here are missing the title bar w/ the min/maximize/close buttons...
Though you can easily get access to the rest of the PC by pressing the Windows logo key on the keyboard.  :p

I don'y have an answer for question, but I think it's worth mentioning that in libraries I've visited, they don't block IE from closing.  They do however, make it so IE automatically restarts when it is closed.

Probably a registry edit and a edit of the files in IE, I am just guesing through. There is probably a ready made program for it. Google for it, or ask some other libary how they do it.

What OS?  For XP, set it up as a guest user and close off permissions for what you want to disallow.

In general you can run IE in "kiosk mode" according to Microsoft, which I think is what you're looking for.  However, on Win98 as far as I know there isn't a built-in way to restrict access to ALT+TAB or CTRL+ALT+DEL - I believe there are 3rd party apps that can trap those keys, but none that I know of for free - if you Google "Windows 98 restrict ALT+TAB", for instance, a bunch of commercial apps come up to do that sort of thing.

Most students at a high school have no idea what ALT+TAB does. I wouldn't worry about that too much.
ctr-alt-del is a little more troublesome. But still, there are alot of students with limited computer knowledge.

Meh, there's a guy in my Graphic Communication class who didn't know where the shift key was. :O   How about that for limited computer knowledge.
