When i walk i cant hear my own footsteps .. thou i can hear footsteps of my team mates running ... and i hear my own only like when iam going a little level down from somewhere e.t.c.

Dave, you're no help Um... was there an option to turn on/off footstep sounds? Have a look. I don't remember.

ok i tried cg_footstep 1 and now i can hear footsteps while running but cant while walking ..... is this normal? ... and i have 41 footstep sounds in my Player folder

Probably. LIke in CS, when you walk your silent. And why would you be walking anyway? It's a Q3 engine game
