We are the PC gamers, and we are angered.

How does it feel to be paid off by Microsoft to make co-op an XBOX Live! exclusive while BURNING the PC gamers that created you?

Redemption comes in the form of a co-op patch for PC gamers, although the damage is done.

You have spit upon us while opening your arms to Microsoft.

Please send your vent to Activision.

Raven is the developer and, as such, does not make the decisions you are complaining about.

I'm sorry, Activision is a publisher and does not compile the game nor make the 'gold' master copy.

Activision also does not release patches as that would be Raven's duty.

Single minded is someone who would take a payoff and exclude one platform from content that would be 'exclusive' to another.

Anything else?

Windows is not a gaming platform.  not anymore.  get used to it.
PC gaming is dead.  it has been for some time.  windows is being used as a beta platform for Xbox games.

Xbox is Microsoft's premier "gaming platform" ; not Windows.

p.s: Nintendo has always enjoyed proprietory liscencing over their "software";
if MS tried to do this for "windows games" they would be charged with antitrust.

but by entering the console market, MS was able to liscence proprietory games under the Xbox brand name.
MS makes a greater percentage from liscencing Xbox Games in the green box, than they do liscencing game "software" for windows.

---> Soon MS will release the Xbox OS software to run as an emulator on windows64.
the only way to play games through windows AT ALL in The Future™,
will be to buy them in a green box under the Xbox brand name and play them with an Xbox emulator on your PC.
(resistance is futile)

i'm pretty sure they will do an emulator-type thing so pc users can create custom content and then offer some way to transfer that to xbox360 users. that's about all the pc will be used for, if MS is smart, they will offer native mouse/keyboard support and most PC gamers will quietly tag along for the ride.

when it happens, the developers will no longer make a "PC-CDROM" version of ANY game.
there will be only one version: the Xbox version

(the way things are done now , the "PC-CDROM" version is just a beta, to be patched)

i dont really see the problem with that. look at the new consoles, they are just purpose-built gaming PCs without the hassle. as long as there is native peripheral support software-side (i.e, no acceleration, auto-aim, etc.), and they have special 'modder' versions for PC development, all will be well.

problem: all games will be written for 10 buttons.   a classic like "XWING" (for example) could never exist.  it uses over 200 keyboard commands

(ie: all games will be limited to "console gameplay",  by design.)

("PC Gaming Is Dead") :p
