No, rail damage is currently 100, which is too much. Especially with the poor map set we have right now.

The most important change that raven could do for me on this game is to do something with the god-awful sound of the machine gun.  The machine gun sound is so loud and annoying !!!  if they could change it to a more tolerable sound or make a way for us to turn the volume of just that gun down low."

Agree 200%, it´s like doom3 machinegun volume, really annoying!!!

1. Stop turning CTF into instagib matches.  Rail should not be above 90 damage.  

2. Speed up the geriatric rockets.  Pretty bad when guy can out bunny hop a rocket in speed.  

3. The in game browser, add some filters and fix the 1000 server max listing issue.

4. VOIP?  Come on, it is 2005.  This is a standard to be a #1 game and if this is the engine for the next 5 years, it should have it built in.

5. Prone position?  Although the fast action of Q4 usually does not have time for it, this engine should still have it if it plans on being around for 5 years.

6. Bots.  Not only did we step back into the timeline of Q2, we stepped back into the technology of not knowing how to add AI bots to this game.  

7. Some updates to your players.  Quake finger updates are long outdated.  Carmacks blog long outdated.  There is a feeling of distancing of the programmers/developers of his game from the players.

New Music with real Quake Themed Music, Dark Industrial etc. no orchestra ####. If someone doesn't share this oppinion, then he isn't a real quaker since 1 second.

Proning has never been in a quake game, nor should it be in any decent fast-paced action game, ever. Because of that, prone should be left to the modders, it shouldn't be up to Raven to include something that should absolutely never be used in the game they're releasing.

Bigger maps: MP and SP.
More MP maps: for me their number is too low!
Increase speed of Dark Matter Gun when playing MP.
Improve CD-Key check system: insert the valid CD-Key base into a file, it would fix the leaks like: "I can't connect to the CDKey checking system, cos i don't see the working internet connection." It could be easily cracked, though.Then use the MD5/SHA1/Redshirt2 encryption system.
Leave the mission pack for ID: they would make it better(please don't think that Raven is worse than ID; I think that Ravensoft just don't mismatches Quake serie).

Rofl, no.  Stop thinking of you and your dual-CPU.  The game is obviously slow/dying because of its GAMEPLAY problems, not "lack of multithreading performance".

They aren't the same.  It's just that the crappy (crappy for Quake anyway) Doom engine makes everything, from platforms to players, really thin tall.  DM17 does NOT have the same scaling as it had in Q3.

This is a HUGE problem with this game.  It makes every room and hallway feel way too cramped.
