Uh, so far it's just a coaster. Brand-new ATI drivers, complete install from the DVD version. This is on a machine that currently runs Doom 3, HalfLife 2, and F.E.A.R. with no issues. Gets to the splash screen, goes black for a second, then flashes back to the desktop. Doesn't even appear to write a log file anywhere. $59 for a DVD version that won't freaking run. NICE. Do game companies even bother to beta test any more?!?!?!? Okay, done bitching. Anyone have any suggestions? Athlon 64 3300+ ATI x800 onboard audio

I have a pent4 2.8 @ 3.3 x800 xt I also have the dvd. loaded and boots fine. My system runs the game okay. slow load times. Doesn't want to run much in ultra quality. I am running it in high quality: 4x fsaa/16x quality 1280x1024. Single player is quite nice. Multiplayer is a, well, whatever. I am using Omega 5.9 drivers if that is any help. I am sure you will get it running.
