Hi guys. I have been trying to get in touch with some of the Raven Devs to find out a few details about Quake 4 (configs etc) with no success as yet. I was wondering if any of the devs would actually read and post a response in this forum since I have had no luck. Please answer in response and I'll know how to contact you all For info, I manage www.q4euro.com and am trying to provide service to the community in terms of news/info etc. Cheers

Sorry to say that, FliX, but like most developers, yes, they do read their message board. Don't get me wrong; I'm not one of them, I'm not related to any of them, and I don't even know them. But I've just been proved that they indeed read it. If you're wondering why aren't them flooding the board with posts, well, it's just that there's too much going on a board for them to reply to everybody or to take everything into account. Put yourself on their place: it's impossible to reply to everybody, and if they did, it would just increase the noise with everybody making new requests.

Well I've seen guys from Raven chat a few times on thier board...generally its right after a game has been released when they have some slack time. Just don't expect them to read every thing thats posted or even care enough to reply, but don't be surprised if they do drop in to talk shop from time to time.

Here's an idea.. Hire someone to answer the peoples questions about the games that they paid for. You know, a support team....Id did it already for dev teams ,, extend the love some more....

To answer the original posters underlying question.... you dont need to talk to one of the developers to ask a question about configs - several people replying to this thread can probably answer whatever question you have about cfgs. So, what is it you want to know? Edit: oh, I hadnt noticed this thread had been dredged up from last year.... ignore this post as I guess his question is not relevant now ;) (BTW, SyncError isnt just about talking with devs, he talks with the whole commmunity, mainly on ESR, and IRC). He's id, not raven tho.
