I've been trying to find the import/export program MMF pointed out a while ago called 3DExplorer.  But for some odd reason I can't find it anywhere...

MMF, do you have a download link?  This is driving me crazy...

3D explorer is old and outdated, thats why you cant find it, besides i find Milkshape3d superior  

acctualy, there are many formats milkshape doesn't support that 3dex does.
the link in here should still work.

also, if you're trying to get an .ASE into max 6 or 7, I need to update that tutorial because I found a good .ASE importer.
Go here and scroll down to the second thing there called Biturn and click ASE plugin for 3dsMax 6 and 7.

3Dexploration dosent exist anymore, well maybe some old Beta version copies do
but now they have a program called Deep Explorer

well that sucks, I'll dig around my pc and see If I still have the .exe somwhere.

This thing is a trial version, however, I've been useing it for years and even though it tells me every time that the trial has run out, it never stops working.
