Enough already.  Please do not ruin my favorite FPS, by newbifying all of the gameplay down.  Please keep the movement/DM like Quake3A/Q1.

We don't want Quake: Battlefield.  We want Quake4 Arena.

Please make sure there are a lot of customizable options for the UI (colors, sizes of huds, styles, fonts), as well as "Save Profile/Keybinds", so we don't keep running into the same dreaded reset keys bug.

I sincerely don't want to see the only real FPS ruined because Raven wants to make an extra buck off the larger, newbie crowd of gamers.  You (Raven) will lose money in the long run.  Just look at the total players playing UT2k4... the bigger (newb) crowd of gamers don't stick around, nor do they fully support the game.

Please keep the game like it always has been... skill-required (aka trick-jumping, etc).  Do no add 10+ rifles like lame-ass Unreal, do not add the super newb weapon of the year; the BFG, and do not add over-complicated or DARK (this isnt Doom3) deathmatch/tourney maps.

Oh... and dear Lord, do NOT add alt-fire.  That newb crap is for Unreal, and Unreal sucks.

Stolen? Are you referring to Quake 4 being developed by Raven? Cloned from Doom? I thinks you be confused... but I also like Unreal. UT2007 looks to be shaping up to be good fun. More than likely a better mp experience than Quake 4 based on what I read on both games.

Still your comments weren't very clear D'sparil. Rant if you like but make sure your clear.

You are right!

Half-Life 1 has at least 40% Quake and Quake 2 code in it. And Duke Nukem has been copying/buying engines since ever.

Unreal it´s a total new code engine, no storyline to support it tough. And yes, UT2k3/UT2k4 physics and gameplay is Quake 3´s, every double jump and crazy guns they add takes a little of the focus on fast paced, skill based,pure carnage that Quake stands for...
