Maybe GGL should get their sources right, they don't even know that Quake IV is developed by Raven... And Amazon has had several bad release dates so honestly this doesn't really mean anything.

All I know is that Quake 4 is supposed to be an xbox 360 launch title. So if thats being released late fall, so should Quake 4. I think these reports are fairly accurate.

Anybody want to bet some filthy lucre that the xbox 360 will be released first... that is, in order to sell more units. We PC types will cool our heals for a couple extra months.

Everything I read says they are working on both versions at the same time... so I doubt it. They started the PC version long before the 360 version was announced.

And if they do that.... its smart marketing on their end and for Microsoft really. I would be annoyed, but I can't say I blame Activision as a company for making a smart buisness move.

Something to consider though, console junkies don't even know what Quake is for the most part. Quake has never been a hit on a console. I don't think there are alot of xbox/ps2 players who care about Quake over something like GTA or Resident Evil or whatever it is they play.

Consoles are good for watching DVDs though

was at bestbuy today and saw some pre-order quake4 boxes for the PC. so I'm willing to bet, Xbox and PC releases will be fairly close if not the same day. course bestbuy website has 10/11 release for PC and 11/18 for Xbox.....so who knows.
