I agree...but than I think Micrsoft and Activision want to create another Halo so to say. Personally, I hope Q4 comes out for both xbox 360 and PC at the same time and I wish I could play against xbox 360 users on the internet with my PC. It would be so fun to kick their.... :s3:

Well...the forum is back up! Hurrah!!! Gamestop shows Quake 4 for the PC being released 10/11/05...almost just a month away. They also show an 11/1/05 release for the Xbox 360...the same day as the Xbox 360 Launch. The sad thing is that the Xbox 360 is only being sold by Gamestop with a software bundle. The Xbox package itself is $300 which includes the console and wired controller and composite A/V cable plus Live Silver though a live Gold 30-day trial is included...Xbox Live (for those not familiar) is an internet connection service for consoles. An extra minimum purchase of a "core bundle" for $400 which does not include Quake 4 brings the entry into Xbox 360 gaming to $700! Quake 4 is only included with the "Ultimate bundle" with a price tag of $800! Well, Quake 4 can be sold seperately of course, but it's still a lot of money. I just can not understand why anyone would want to spend that much money for a game console when they can get a PC for about the same price. Oh...forgot to add...I bought the pre-release a few days ago at a local Gamestop. The pre-release box includes a T-Shirt with the Quake 4 logo on it.
