K well i got a problem. My ping is usually 100 or lower on basicly any servers but of in a hour of playing i start to lag badly. My ping goes to 999 and i cant play for like 2 hours then my ping goes back to normal and does the same thing. Its so annoying and frusterating cause it happens in a middle of a game. I try putting my rate as 10000 or 6000 but i really dont know what to do any more. I also put my snaps to 20. Can any 1 help me this is so frusterating :s9: -Cdn.Kamikaze

Difficult.... what you can try is the following to see if it is related to Sof2 at all.
Open a dos box (START, RUN and type in CMD (or COMMAND in case of win9x/me).
Type ping -t <website, like symantec.com> >c:\ping.txt
end hit enter.
ping -t www.symantec.com >c:\ping.txt
This way, you'll do an invinite ping to www.symantec.com and log the output (the replies, including the roundtrip times in MS) to c:\ping.txt
In the dosbox itself you'll see nothing but a blinking cursor. Don't close the dosbox, because it is now pinging and writing down the output to the file.
Leave this dosbox open for at least an hour. Do some stuff, whatever. After at least an hour, you can close the dosbox, or press CTRL C in the dosbox.
Now open c:\ping.txt.
You'll see a long list, with a lot of lines which look like these:
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=60
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=6ms TTL=60
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=19ms TTL=60
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=60
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=44ms TTL=60
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=13ms TTL=60
Reply from 84.53.147.15: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=60

Notice the "time" value. Scroll down the ping.txt file and see if there are any "time" values which are too high. I don't know where you live, so your time values might look different from mine. I live in the Netherlands, so a 44ms roundtrip time is pretty ok pinging a US site. You should be able to get a time lower than 100ms at any time. If you don't find any high time values, your problem is probably indeed SOF2 related.
However, if you DO find high ping time values near the bottom of the ping.txt file, your problem is caused by something else, varying from your router, modem, network card, windows... anything!

Anyway, let me know what the result of your ping test gives us.

Have you changed any other settings in your config file?
Could there be something else eating up bandwidth, programs in the backround, spyware, etc. Make sure you are not running anything else, such as a file-sharing app, and disable all un-needed services (if running XP)check these out:

Another thing: component overheating (vid card, CPU) can sometimes resemble lag.
Check drivers are up-to-date, video, sound, chipset etc.
Too many other things to list, but I hope you get the idea.
Good luck.
