ehm.. should'nt we subscribe to post comments? Overall I find it quite stupid that we must pay to leave a little comment about a file/tutorial. Comments would really help me on my files or any files. Comments can tell wether it is good or bad. Comments can help you a lot if your not sure to download such a (huge) file. Maybe it does'nt help? The comments will tell.

the line had to be drawn somewhere....and the site administrators obviously drew it there

with all the free resources on this site...i would think no-one would complain

check out all the benefits of becoming a subscriber here

in my opinion...the lifting of the bandwidth restriction is worth the $5 a month

not to mention the contests and other such advantages [angryalien]

The main reason I decided to make comments a subscriber's option was because I wanted to make sure that the comments were helpful and of use. There is alot of different sections on this site that the administrators have to keep an eye on to make sure crude things aren't posted or that things just don't get too crazy.

By making the comments available to subscribers, I felt that there would be less of a chance of crazy things happening. They are paying money for a good site, I would think they would try and keep it a good site. Now, I don't have to monitor the comments on the downloads.

I also expect that the comments would be of value... more than just "yeah!", "my mom makes better maps", or "this map sucks". It's no fun having to sift through pages of comments to figure out if it's any good or not.

All that plus.. we are trying to inspire members to subscribe to help us pay the bills around here.

I hope that all makes sense.

I'm not the niccest person in the world, actually I'm a real *******, but I invest alot of time into SOF2, I try to keep active in this forum, and OSP's forum... And I host 2 servers... mkake maps, and so on...

And even with all that, I still can't hold a candle to what foyleman, and his buds (haha, I said weed) have put into the community as a whole...

I find it a good method to fund there growing resource needs to maintain the archives of knowledge, along with the new information...

I have great respect for not only the cost of it, but the time the patrons aswell as the ppl that keep this site running have contributed...

I got the full, even though I didn't need it... I even made a donation, before they had the subscription option...

If sites are charging $20, to see some girl - uh, insert fantasy here... I don't think modsonline is charging enough...

So think of it this way, your free tour consists of ALOT...
