Yeah so where do I get my hands on some XP skins? By the way, does anybody have any recommendations in either laptop printers or laptop speakers?

www.themexp.org You'll need a program you can download for 30 day free trial to install them though.

No you don't. Just google 'patched uxtheme.dll.' You'll have to download a .dll and follow the (simple) instructions. Then you can use any of those themes w/out any 3rd party program. Make sure to get the version for the SP you're running.

Just download the Multi-Patcher 4.0 (for all XP versions) and execute. Reboot and voilà...

Thanks Sandy. I'm just having trouble now finding a skin that I actually like. Oh and how exactly do you install these skins? Some of them seem to install while others don't. That program that the site recommends is loaded with spyware, I refuse to install it.

Yeah! Most of the newer themes at themeXP have spyware. If I remember correctly, you have to uncheck the boxes so the spyware won't install. And after that I always uninstall themeXP with add/remove AND run my anty spyware progs. Normally, they don't find anything. And to install them, just drag'n'drop (unpack) into c:\windows\ressources\themes. Then double click on the .msstyles or .theme to apply.

Get Royale from Microsoft, MS New Zealand has it online for XP Home/Pro somewhere.
