I've recently sent this email to Raven, but I haven't heard a response so I thought I'd post here in case anyone knew the answer. Any thoughts would be appreciated. My online name is "H4x" and I'm a novice JKA mapper. I've created such maps for the JKA SIEGE community as "H3H Base Assault" and "Imperial Mine". I'm working on another map and I have an ethical question if you would be so kind as to entertain it for me. One of the sample source maps [Raven] has released is the Hoth SIEGE map. Are we (mappers) allowed to use elements from those maps in our own maps? Specifically, would it be "ok" if I copied various brushes and patches from the map into a map of my own, even if I released it publically (with proper credits of course)? I wasn't sure what the "rules" were on this so I thought it best to ask. Any guidance is appreciated, thanks...

I'm curious, is this question that ridiculous, or that difficult to answer? I'm not really even looking for an "official" stance, but simply anyone's opinion. If it's not too much trouble please let me know what you think, thanks.
