Hi all,

I doubt if anyone'll remember my babbling from my SOF2 days, but I got more than a couple of helpful replies from Rickmus and others. Nice memories here.

I'd like very much to able to play on multiplayer maps with NPCs on a private personal listen server, but when ever I try "devmapall", "dev map all", "helpusobi 1", et cetera, it doesn't seem to matter. The server tells me cheats aren't enabled (or, apparently enable-able).

Stranger still, when I try the basic "map" command, just to test, I get the same response I do with "devmap": For some reason, the game won't even see multiplayer maps that aren't loaded via the menu. Neither the stock nor the bonus maps, for instance, can be found, even though they're right there in the base folder.

I understand (and hopefully some of my SOF2 posts will show that I support) cheat protection, but surely there's some way for me to disable it when I'm the only one playing...?

What'm I doing wrong?

My system specs are:
XP Pro
2.6 Ghz CPU
1 Ghb of RAM
JA 1.1 (the patch says I'm already up to date, fresh off the CD)

Thanks in advance for any constructive help/insight.

"devmap mapname" has always worked for me. Can you tell me exactly what you're typing when you're trying to load a particular map? Remember with stock maps, you need to put mp/ before.

Like this "devmap mp/ffa1" as they are in the mp directory inside the maps directory. Hope that helps.

D'oh!

That was it. I forgot the "/mp".

Thanks Wheezle.
