Well on friday night, i got myself into a lot of trouble, first there was much alchol drunk (please dont lecture me on that i dont need it) now there was this girl at the pub who i want to pick up and seemed to be doing rather well with, so after some discussion with my mates that were down for the weekend, sothey both gave me the all clear, after a few more hours i went out side and found on of my friends kissing her, after he had promised that he would not do anything, so this started the big ball rolling. Now i got rather angry rather quickly (what follows is out of character for me) so i went back into the pub throw the rest of my beer over the bar and stormed into the dinning room, were my mate brooke and her bf tried and failed to calm me down i upset brooke by saying a few things about her friend, tehn i proceded back into the bar were i tried to pick fights with 2 of the other ppl there, two of my friends sally and kate sat me down to calm me down and some how i told kate that her ex boy friend luke cheated on her when they were going out, so she craked it and left the pub then luke came in to beat me up but was pulled off back some one i dont remember who, so after a few more minutes i left the pub and walked home after making up with my mate nathan who kissed the girl i wanted.
Now Kate and luke are both still not talking to me, i could use some advice guys.

Don't drink.

What is done is done... And I dunno how you can undo it right away. Only with time...

So plan ahead that it will never happen again, don't drink.

I agree with Speed. This is what happens when you drink.
You can't change whats happened, just let time heal it. And becareful how much you drink in the future! Keep it to a minimum. Thats what i do.

well was the thing you said about Luke cheating on her true? if so, then big deal, they shouldn't be mad at you, that's their own problem. If it's not true, then just appologize and blame the alcohol

Not necessarily; This is what happens when you drink way too much.

Kate and Luke have their own problems.  its not your fault that he cheated on her.  and face it, this IS what they are (really) upset about:  they have dirty laundry which has now seen the light of day.

(is it YOUR fault?   no.)

if he didn't want anyone to find out he cheated, then he shouldn't have told anyone.
including you.

(so why did he tell you in the first place?)

telling you his secret serves two purposes:
(a) he needs somebody's third-party-opinion, to bounce his actions off of, to seek your approval.
IF you help him keep his secret, then he won't feel bad about it, because its not just HIM that thinks he's done nothing wrong.
obviously you think so too (and he NEEDS this in order to justify his actions); so telling you the secret, helps him, to justify what he's done.

and (b) by telling YOU.. and getting you to stand on-side with him to keep it a secret.. (you accept the responsibility for covering up his acions).. then suddenly he's got somebody to BLAME if(when) she finally finds out.  how convenient.

so now its NOT his fault anymore, WHEN she finds out that he cheated.  oh, no.  its YOURS.
and the two of them will now (together) blame you for the whole thing.

she's mad at you, because you kept it a secret from her in the first place (she feels betrayed);
he's mad at you, because you told her his secret in the end (he feels betrayed).

((note: the source of the betrayal is really his OWN actions, but thats ok, thats not important right now))

so now: YOU''ve become the definition of BETRAYAL (and you didn't even cheat on anybody) which is kinda unfair..
but more importantly..
they now have a common enemy on which to focus their anger at the whole situation.
^^((and this WILL keep them together. LOL))*

*so on the one hand, they will probably hate you forever..
but on the other hand..
you will be SINGLE_HANDEDLY responsible for keeping them together,
after the (potential) devastation of his "cheating"

(( you are now : a RELATIONSHIP MARTYR !!!  (congratulations))

the only thing you can really do about it is just tell it to them straight:
"if having a common enemy helps you two get over this..
..then go ahead and blame me for your problems. cheers"

(and the next time somebody tries to tell you that they cheated on their GF, you'll know better than to EMPOWER them by keeping their secret.  just tell them to STFU.  you don't need to hear about it)

------------------

as for the rest of it, it sounds like a mating ritual from 'Lorne Green's New WIlderness' (LOL)
it reminds me of a bunch of bighorn sheep butting heads over a female.

unfortunately that doesn't quite work in a species where the female has a mind of her own.

((ie: instead of telling all your friends that "she's mine".. maybe you should have told HER that instead. heh. :old8:))
