Since I haven't been around last week, I don't know if the topic has been discusted.  The search brought nothing.  Anyway, you can get the new version (with security fixes) right HERE.

Hey quick question... I read the release notes and it says to install in a clean directory, but I always overwrite the provious install to save settings, themes, whatever.  Anyone know a good reason why I should stop overwriting?

I over write when I upgrade Opera. Not FireFox, I open the control panel/add-remove/delete Mozilla Firefox then my computerC:/program files/Mozilla FireFox but leave the files in Documents and Settings(otherwise the extentions and favorites will get wiped out.

The only "problem" I have when overwriting is that it add another entry in the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs).  I do what Carver does.  But if it doesn't bother you, there's no problems...

Edit: Doh!  I tought I was late upgrading.  Apparently, 1.0.5 was released earlier today.  Blind luck in my case...

I always overwrite too.

The extra entries in the add/remove programs list don't bother me. I just clean it out every six months anyway..

Funny, I just looked through my add/remove program list, and only Firefox 1.05 is listed. I've overwrited since 1.01 or something like that.
