Aren't all the necessary animations listed in animation.cfg?  I see the only hard part as figuring out what exactly 'console3' should look like.

Btw, for mapmodels, you can go crazy with materials as well. Just make sure you export it correctly and all your wicked maps should export to ase as well.

Anyway, I got an MD3 export plugin for 3DS and that seems to work pretty well.
