Not to sure if this falls in this catagory, but I also get a message saying I have no AGP mem, and when soldier goes into the game the textures on everything but character come up as a black and white checker board anyone know how to remedy this.  I have a HP 2.8gig P4, bios is up to date, direct x is, video which is, (well I have tried two cards got a gforce 4 mmx 64 ddr, and a radeon 8500 le 64 ddr), I get the same results with both cards. My board says it could handle 8x agp but don't know if this is the issue nor could I modify it anyways.
Thanks for any help,
MINIONofSET-DESPAIR

black/white problem = You have a corrupt file textures0.pk3. To fix it backup your maps, skins, etc, uninstall the game remove the sof2 folder left after uninstallation clean the discs and reinstall. :p

also the radeon 8500 cards do not support agp 8x they are a agp 4 X only card

for AGP 8x you'd need at least a radeon 9500 pro (first ATI chip to support agp 8 X, well other then the 9700 pro)

or one of the 9XXX series radeons

i have a built by ATI  8500 (non le model) they only suppprt agp 4x

the no AGP memory issiue could also mean you need to install chipset drivers for your motherboard for full support of your AGP slot

also dont switch back and forth with an nvidia graphics card and one made by another manufacturer

run driver cleaner , as trying to run an ATI card in a system that has nvidia drivers still install WILL cause issies

get driver cleaner here
