as far as i figure, its just hertic in flash,... ie no improvements...

I played that level, and I'm just saying what I noticed:

3D weapon models or Flash, the elven wand is a copy of Doomsday's, the other two are new. The weapons behave differently. Dragon claw shoots slowly, and I don't think that's and improvement. Elven wand is slower than it was. There are ammunition looks improvements too.
 It is very slow - what for? And speed button has dissapeared.
 Only one enemy on the whole level - Iron Lich lurking in the water. It seemed completely unpertubed by my existance in D'sparil's sacred dome, and reacted only if I hit it. And it had only one attack - blue star which, instead of a breaking effect, had splash damage. It would attack me once, then continue gliding around.
Texture are slightly better, and weapon effects are noiceable on floor. But looks a lot like Doomsday.

I don't see any use in that. If there is a normal Heretic, why would someone play a flash version? I'm making a Heretic Wad with Doom Builder right now, maybe it would grow into something more interesting than Doomsday's one-level wads. It's slow, though, it takes about three hours to make one room, and one more to remove all sector bugs and monster stuckness, but I hope it is worth the time. Shame I don't have any testers...

a) play such an old game on xp
b) play such an old game on any other platform

What are you talking about? Heretic runs perfectly well with XP if you use Doomsday Engine. I don't hava any problems, except segmentation violation, but that's rare, and, what game doesn't crash? It's perfectly normal, looks excellent, doesn't slow down.

Heretic Reloaded is a browser lite demo version of Heretic (485 KB in a single file !).
Has nothing to do with Flash. It's about ShockWave 3D (something very different).
Also, has nothing to do with DoomsDay (a standalone 3D engine).
It works very slow because SW3D is very sensitive in case of too many polygons on the same direction (btw: it's obviously that the designer of that level doesn't have enough "tech" knowledges).
A single enemy because of the current obsolete SW3D engine (DirectX 5 core !?!): more polygons ---> the frame rate is going down too much.
If you don't like Heretic Reloaded, I can't see any reason to waste my time trying to promote Hexen.

Promote Hexen? Since when it needs to be promoted? No one likes it, those who do are one in a thousand. Heretic. Hexen. They are forgotten. no one values them. Raven became a lazy and useless company that makes low-class games now. Heretic and Hexen are still my favorite games, games against which is each my new game is compared, yet it's made by a company which didn't do anything else properly...

Raven is still my favorite games company.
and i dont think they have lost their integrety....
