Reports on CNN are showing that there was one, possibly two, explosions at an UK Consulate in NYC. According to the report, the blasts originated from a "flower boxes used as a barrier outside the building" from what is being decribed as "novelty-type grenade had been used that had some powder inside with a fuse". There appears to be no structural damage to the building, just some minor blemishes such as broken windows. No injuries reported. Continued at source.

My gut tells me this was some disgruntled American citizen and I think we'll have the bomber in under a week, I hope he or she gets nailed with terrorism charges. On a side note, I find it too coincidental that this happens on the day the UK is voting on whether Blair gets his 3rd term or not.

####.. wrong building, i was aimin for the chipshop nxt door.. storms off (that was a joke b4 i get banned for that.. and i also send out any apologies to anyone remotely offended by it. tho it was intended just to lighten the mood. And as no one was injured.. then its perfectly fine.. but in the event someone did take my post remotely offensively.. for whatever reason, i offer you hugs and my apologies. Well, one of the devices was pineapple shaped. Dole is a big pineapple producer. They have the same name as Bob Dole, previous presidential candidate. Bob Dole hasn't been in the public lately. He... fill in the conspiracy theory here
