i would like to known ,how many players sof2 there are in the world and how much plays sof2 you sold,,,,,?? i am curious  to have an answer

cummon, dont be so selfish, only because you dont seem to like SW or Xmen doesnt mean Raven only has to make SOF games.
dont get me wrong i would love another SOF i loved the first 2 but well i also REALY enjoyed JKO and JKA.
i dont think that SOF has that much more players than JK, but that is just my gut feeling i dont know the stats.

SOF2 has a pretty strong community still, but considering all the mods that have taken over the original game (OSP,ROCmod,Real Damage,etc) it's not the same. An it's not often you come across good Normal Damage server. But ... I still play SOF2 on a daily basis an totally support the franchise for the game series. It would be nice to see a SOF3 but that sorta thing is really up to the people at Raven an Activision.

"Raven" is a development house. Activision is the publisher of sof2, so I think your question is why didn't Activision do more for sof. I would have liked an expansion pack and what not... but Activsion is interested in making money.. and they base their decisions on what will make them the most money...

I still believe that a new installment to sof is in development, just not going to be the center of attention until Q4 gets its full glory.

The other thing to consider is that PC games are not the money makers that console games are. I'm sure that if sof2 had done well on xbox there would be no delay in the announcement of sof3. SOF3 would have been much more of a priority if the XBox port of sof2 had actually taken off.

yea im sure there will be another SOF as also another JK, just because they where both very popular.

I agree with DwB, the community is still fairly strong, but 90% of servers now run real damage, and after taking a 6 month hiatus, I just can't get into it now.. I fired up the old server, normal damage classic dm, but players have diminished big time.. Still love the game though ;)

SOF3 will be a 'next generation' game.  after XBOX360 sells a million units, we'll start to hear info on 'next gen' games.  sometime around christmas 2005.
