I am kinda upset with ebgames because I ordered mine online to be shipped to my home and according to their website it hasn't shipped yet. Then my buddy goes to the store today and picks one up without pre-ordering.

Anyway, I got to play an hour of it and then I tried out the editor.

The editor is a little buggy and we might have to wait for qeradiant to release a version for it.

Here are some hints:

- extract the pk4 files
- to get the editor to run, create another shortcut on and modify the target by adding at the end: +editor

yup, radiant is built right into the editor... however I couldn't get it to properly run in the limited amount of time I had to play with it. I will have more for you this weekend.

my theory on why it doesn't work correctly is that the qe4 file is not be saved in the proper location on your harddrive. That might be all that is wrong... just move that qe4 to the properly folder so it is recognized.

Also, you need to do something funky to get the console to open. I think the key combo is atl+ctrl+~ . Anyway, the reason it doesn't work right away is because the console-open command is not default to work and can be setup to work in the cfg file.

ok.. not bad for 1.5 hours of having the game in hand and 1 hour of that being play time. lol.

My copy better come soon... I think I'm gonna have to call and complain.

Sheesh, I got trouble too. Seems my Credit Card info wasn't good. So I got to call them tomorrow and straighten it out. They won't let me do it online. Crapola.

I called them and they gave me some big sob story about 65000 orders and being all backed up. That my order has been shipped just not updated on the website. By the way, they never asked for my order number.

I made sure with them that there would be no hassles in returning the game when it came. I might just go to the store and pick up a copy and return the ordered one when it arrives.

hehe. Preorder and still get screwed. I was just trying to get ahead. lol When UT2004 came out I waited and went to the store (all sold out). Well I got a step ahead this time. hehe

Hopefully things will go along better in the future with the editor. I am thinking of my choices and deciding what to do right now...FarCry, Painkiller, and STALKER already on my list it's time to prioritize for the moment until something changes.

My plan is to see about Doom 3 this Thursday and weight that versus the price of HL2: CE this September. I am 50/50 on the idea of keeping Doom 3, however I will be buying and keeping HL2: CE so it's a hard decision as those two compared with so many other things lately are taking a huge chunk from my wallet. Mainly restoring my truck, it needs a lot of work and I can't do it easily right now.

All's left to say is that, I would also love to hang a pinky demon on the mirror of my El Camino truck, but I don't know if that'll happen as planned :'(

lol, actually id said that preorders might not actually get the product before store shelves depending on a lot of things, i imagine it would be an obvious reason that if theres not a lotta preorders then they would stock the shelves first...

of course if you preordered from like, eb for example then eb will stock their shelves and send you a copy whenever, you already have the copy coming so they will get it to you, but they cant miss out on the at-the-door buyers as well, at least thats how i see it :)

lol i totally know how you guys feel about it though, *thinks back to when he got his motherboard, ram, graphics card, cpu and sound card before he got his case...so much for RMA status*
