I think most of you guys know who Vorax is, right? He's a pretty famous mapper for EF. He's made some very cool maps such as  HM_KBA (Klingon Battle Arena), CTF_VOR1, and CTF_WORMHOLE. Well, I got to chatting with him about his latest endeavors. Just thought everyone here would like to see what he's up to these days. It's actually pretty cool. You guys can check out what Vorax is up to these days by clicking the link below.

I just thought it was real interesting that one of our most respected mappers, is now designing his own stuff. Pretty cool.  :)

Yeah, he is a very good mapper for sure. ;)

It's pretty interesting to see what he's doing now. I'm sure if he could secure a license from Activision or Paramount, he would probably base it on Trek. But, it's still going to be interesting to see how this develops over time. He says he's still about a year out. So, there's probably tons of things he has planned between now and 2006. Pretty cool.  :)

It will be very cool to see how this project develops over the coming months. It looks like most of his game mechanics are already set up well.

It kinda reminds me of Starlancer by Microsoft. I don't know if you ever heard of that one. It's a FPS Space Shooter. You're in a ship and it's pretty much a multi-player dog fight in space. Starlancer was actually a very cool game. It's too bad that Microsoft doesn't support their games like ID Software does. SL would have been big with a GDK and more support.

Vorax's project kinda reminds me of that game. 360 Degree Space Shooter. I only hope Vorax's space field is larger then Microsoft's field for SL. The maps were very cool, but kinda small.

I'm looking forward to Vorax working on his site so we can track progress. I've already pledged my support for his project. I really hope it works out well for him, and I can't wait to see more shots... *drool* :D
