which really sucks ... There are numerous bugs and epxloits out that have to be fixed. If a company like Microsoft would leave such bugs open in even a 10 years old version of Internet Explorer, the whole world would flame as ####, but Game Developers seems to be immortal to this.

Doesn't the author of the bugtraq report list the fix right in the report? I patched my linux servers in under 3 minutes.

This time teh fix was for Windows Version only! No fix for Linux available as he already was very lucky to find the right offsets in the Windows Version. It is to much work in reverseenegineeing to fix this. And ####ing Raven or Activition has to do the JOB, not somebody else

why crying about all the 19 exploits in q3 engine + sourcecode and waiting for "official" ravensoft fixes when there are already "custom" fixes? .. you all dont play original sof2 anymore, most of you plays osp or rocmod modifications so why ravensoft should take the time to make a platinum update?.. and anyway you'd better post this in ID forums, the exploits comes from there, but already fixed in q4 engine, so no need to do ..
