I don't.  I just come here to help others w/ what little I still remember.  I wouldn't mind getting back into modding when I have more time. (i.e. when I graduate), but it'd definately be w/ a newer game.

hey, this is Sir Bors' son,
i still map for EF all the time, i would have switched to COD or MOH a while back but i am still learning a lot and going from a newer version radiant to a older version dosn't float my boat.  Or in other words, the radiants for MOH and COD suck, i don't like them.  Plus, since i am still learning, its hard to just change what i am working with cause it confuses me. :s6:

Actually, the radiant for cod is more advanced than gtkradiant. You just have to get used to it.

I don't mod for EF anymore.

B) I know the Q3 engine, I think I've got a very good grasp on it and how a lot of things work in it. I can make things for it quickly w/out learning new software, and I can troubleshoot any problems that come up easily. It's a much more difficult thing to do when working on a new engine you know nothing about, however.

i DEFINATELY know that,
in Q3, i know loads of errors, i know how to get good performance, ect.. now that i started with HL2, i have to prety much start from scratch...

Father not Son this time,

1)I still like the game very much.  MY son and I are also playing MOH and COD and like them and want to map for them also. I would play on line but ever since I installed SP2 for windows XP my ping has gone way up.  Several ways to fixed this problem but they all cost money and that is tight with me at the moment.

2) I do not enjoy the games which the main purpose is to see how many body parts you can spread all over the map.

3)  I like mapping with the Q3 engine because it is like working on a blank page and you get to draw what you want.  In some games the level editor already has things built for you and all you get to do is place things here or place them there.

4)  I am not sure if this can be done but I would think that there is someway to make things for EF and they just export/import them into MOH or COD or some of the other games built on the Q3 engind.

5)  I don't have a few thousand dollars to put done on 3dfs max or maya 6 to have a program to model for other games.  (of course I could be wrong in assuming that you need this.)
When I was checkiing into Halo it seemed that this is what they were using.  As far as Gmax goes - learning curve and I am already have enough on my table.  Photoshop CS is great but it does have a learning curve and I am still learning it.

6)  I have gotten use to the people on this forum.  Everyone has been really great  and that includes Speed who has to beat me over the head once in awhile to make sure I stay on track and don't do anything wrong.  LOL

Well I guess there could be more but that is a start.  The main one is that I still like the game.

Sincerely,
Sir Bors.

don't know about MOH but for COD, yes you can BUT it requires manualy editing the map file in a text editor.
but it does work.
CoD's terrain system a joy to use and give you beautiful results. I would very much recomend looking up some tutorials and playing around with that.

Will check out the Terrain stuff in COD, but so much to learn and so litttle time to learn it in.

When we downloaded MOH Radiant it crashed alot and I was reading that it crashed for other also.  Stukatto mentioned that on MOH was an older version than GTK radiant.

When I downloaded COD radiant it worked just like MOH and I assumed that it was the same as MOH.  Guess I should not make assumptions.

Sincerely,
Sir Bors.
