That is terrible... ... I was just watching about it on the news... they said it was one of the largest earthquakes in world history. My heart goes out to the people in that region I'm thinking of going to worldvision.ca and making a donation to the relief fund..

Singapore is in Japan, no? Japan haven't been touch by the earthquake or the wave. Only India and Indonisia and small island around there. Current count : ~15,000 dead More than 1,000,000 without houses ~10,000 missing

That is were singapore is speedy, it is not in japan. We still have not heard fomr him. The last thing we heard form him was that he was heading to singapore for christmas but was stuck on an island in between indonisia and singapore, as he could not get into singapore for a few days.

Hope he turns up safe Corridale. From what I understand there has been massive damage done to communication networks and those that are still working are swamped. Hopefuly thats why you haven't heard from him.

He should be ok, the wave came from the west of the island west to Singapore.
So, that island got the wave, but probably not Singapore island.

it was the tidal waves that most damage. they even hit india and sri lanka

I have an hard time to explain what I mean... So, graphic! The red line show where the earthquake took place, which is between 2 earth plate. The arrow show where the wave went. As you can see, Singapore was protected from the wave by the island to the west.
