I'm working on the AOTC:TC Mod. We're doing maps based on the movie and I have questions that pertains to them.

In one, Padme's apartment, I would like to have a way to do branching dialougue. Specifically I want a way to have the player, as Anakin, make choices in his reponce to questions that allow the player to be a punk or to be a gentleman. This would affect what the other characters say and affect the outcome of the sequence in some manner. If there isn't something for the player to do this might as well be a cutscene and the mod is going to end up with quite a few as it is.

Is there a way to do Branching Dialougue?

The second has to do with the chase scene that goes from Padme's apartment to Zam's death. One of the maps I'm working on is as follows:



The first map is a Very large map with simple textures. When the player runs into a wall he is transported to another portion of the map (hopefully without the flash effect). The idea is to race in different directions and at different heights so that (hopefully) nothing looks the same. I was thinking that the only building with any detail would be the one with Padme's balcony, bedroom and the garage (and that these would never be approached from the front so the player would never recognize then)

Part of the race (to catch OBi, then to catch Zam) would happen at the highest part of the map, going say north to south on the west edge, then east - west on the north edge of the map. at that point Zam (or the flyer ) dives down and the player is forced to follow. at the map wall he then transports to middle west - east to west east south edge. then goes to the bottom layer of the map south to north on the east side. so far he hasn't hit any part of the map in the same direction or heigth twice and we've traveled a good distance, hopefully traveling quite fast.

Is there a way to transport the player with out the flash effect?

Also, is there is a way to put in crowds, a large to medium number of people who are just wandering around and not registering as enemy or friend but whom you just can't kill indiscimintly? The JKA models may provide enough variation that no new models would be needed. The idea behind this is to add realism, rether than having vast empty streets where everyone is your enemy, it would be nice (and to replicate the movie, nessesary) to have a crowd fill that street.
