I enjoy playing soldier of fortune 2 but am constantly plagued by a problem which i have decided to do something about. Whenever im playing i will just freeze up in game and get a message saying sof2mp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown. It then brings up the error report that it can't be specific about the error but that it is a driver problem. I am quite sure it is a graphics driver problem but have no idea what is the correct driver. I have a geforce 4 mx 440 with windows XP and am wondering if someone could tell me what the correct driver and how i can remove my current one.

If u need any more info i would be more than happy to post it

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

You could try the Omega drivers for the Nvidia cards.  They are very popular.

TheReadme suggests that you use the driver cleaner first, then install the new drivers.

Here's the link for the Omega XP drivers.

Get the driver Cleaner here.

I'd suggest making an XP system restore point prior to doing anything.  Good luck.
