I'm having a big problem with playing SOF2 w/ windows xp professional and service pack 2 installed. Does anybody know this problem:
When I've installed SOF2 with the gold patch and using the latest nVidia-drivers (I do own a Geforce 4 4600 Ultra), the game freezes when I'm playing the first level (Street)...???
Who knows the sollution for this?

Please help!

I have the same problem flex.......   hadn't thought that it might be XP SP2 causing the problem, that might be it.

I have the same problem, but it's not with SP 2.  It's with EVERY version of Windows XP with EVERY version of SOF 2 (1.00, 1.01, etc.).  I actually just posted a message about this myself.  Some support person will probably reply and blame it on our hardware.  Which it obviously must be since a lot of people are having this problem with this game but don't have problems with anything else that runs on their system.

I actually bought this game, but this is a perfect example of why I don't like to buy games.  You buy the game, and if it's a poor product (like this game), you're screwed because you cant get your money back after you've opened the box.

What a waste of $50.

Yup, same problem here too. Funny though. Turn off sound or disable it outright (via bios, or hardware manager), and the game runs fine. Run in a window and not fullscreen, and it works a #### of alot better with sound on. Still get the odd crash, but it's kinda bearable.
