LOS ANGELES - "X-Men" star Patrick Stewart is recovering at home after undergoing an angioplasty procedure earlier this week to widen an artery, his publicist said Friday.

Never seemed like the clogged artery type, but hey atleast he's okay now.

It was pre-emptive, he was probably in no immediate danger. That's what you get when you can afford it...

I'm just glad he finally got that nose job...

My uncle got Rhinoplasty done on his heart. Its now the shape of a cube.

Well the borg did not fix that now did they, unless those nano probes caused it

agioplasty is when they insert a wire into your arteries with a little baloon at the tip of the wire; they stick said baloon into the center of a plaque-clog within the artery, and then they 'inflate' the baloon in 'pulses',  to 'flatten out' the plaque-clog like a tiny jackhammer, and widen the artery, to increase the bloodflow to/from the heart.

its usually done after the clog causes a heart attack.  Stewart is getting it as a preventative measure. because he can afford it.
