Get it here It's a shy over 1gb to download so you might want to run it during the night. 56kers might want to wait until it's released and pick it up on CD.

Hmm... I think I'm gonna try to get an actual disc... Not sure how I do that, though. I've got one of those scratch cards from my ATI9600.

Maybe it's too early in the morning (Haven't had my first cup of coffee yet), but what good is this "preload" if you can't play the game with out the CD? Is it something that will sit on your HDD and tease you until the game itself is released? Or is this a clever way of dropping a ton of Spyware on your system?

No, you can buy the game through Steam, and then since you have it preloaded you can play it immediately when it's released. You don't need the CD at all. However, what I would do is buy the CD, and just register the key that comes with it with Steam and play through Steam, but you have a hard copy just incase. I'm about 80% done now.

No. Only mean Valve finished some part of the game. Like textures, models... Stuff like that, that won't change.

Step one install Steam
Then use your key
