i dont back stuff up, and if my computer dies totally then im not gona bother fixin it, il just get a new computer. i'm seriously hoping this wont happen any time soon, because i just got a new mountainbike, n dont reely have the money to get a new compy. il be annoyed if i lose it all, but meh, nothing of extreme importance i cant get back, just my music that really matters. 2 stripped hdd's... and the unspeakable happpened... one failed.

luckily i was able to save ALL of the data i most needed...but i did lose ALOT of other stuff...

The fix came from a restart and bios option change

are you kidding me? I use the old hdd's becuase they are old laptops and old computers and that's what they came with and i dont need anymore!

My father just format his hard drive by error. He lost a lot. Picture, software, 3 novels he wrote. Pretty sad.

I've accidently formated a floppy disk before that contained all my games. Once I realized what was happening I shut off the computer and then when I checked out the disk after booting back up I noticed all the files were intermixed. So I may be going along shooting "ships" then all the sudden a blackjack appears on the screen.
