Well, now that the new Doom engine is out and about, it's time to make a new Hexen. Make it more RPG like and less Arcadey

So? The Doom III engine would suit Hexen perfectly, especially if they made it with a atmosphere like in Hexen 1: dark, gloomy, sometimes scary but always mysterious.

And NO, it should not be an RPG, Hexen II went as far in that direction as I'd like. You'd gain health, strength and new abilities as you gain levels from slaying enemies, but it never became the focus of the game.

There also shouldn't be a lot of talking, nor too many npc's about-that would just ruin the atmosphere. Hexen was never about going to town and talking to people for quests, nor long and convoluted dialog trees with choices. If you played the games you would know this already.

Why not a Heretic3?

Another Heretic would be ok, but I prefer the multiple classes and atmosphere of the Hexen games, plus I'd rather have it in 1st person than 3rd.

I agree totally!!! I want another Heretic/Hexen game as well in 1st person please.  I don't understand why they gave up on that franchise... it was one of the most beautiful games back in the day. Raven's art and colorful textures in both games just ruled.

what about a completely new concept, why do you only want sequals

I want another Heretic/Hexen game because I love the "world" it's set in as well as the look of the games.  I loved the look of both Heretic and Hexen, with it's bright colors mixed with dark colors.

I think that a Heretic/Hexen game with the new D3 engine would just be insane.

One can always hope...
