hello

first time poster to this board,so thanks for lookiing.my problem is about"hexen+heretic".when i played these games on windows ME they were fine,but after upgraded to windows XP they play in slow motion.playing with no sound,both games are OK.i am using "soundblaster audigy".hope somebody can help.thank you.

The reason that the sound won't work is that Creative (and  most other companies) decided to stop supporting DOS games in their drivers, so no sound for anyone W2K and up.  The games are probably slow because they're still setup with sound in their configs.
The best solution if you want to play Heretic and Hexen in WinXP is to use a sourceport.  Doomsday immediately comes to mind as it is definitely the best looking: http://www.doomsdayhq.com/
Alternative options, for example, include ZDoom (among many others) which you can browse for at Doomworld or similar sites: http://www.doomworld.com

The no sound thing is annoying though, there are many good DOS games which can't be played in WinXP because of it. :/

thanks for the info,but i recently found a prgram called "ZDOOM".hexen,heretic(as well as doom1+2)work fine now,if slightly faster(i think?!).go to zdoom.org for the latest version.
