The movie TROY has a huge bug: It doesn’t explain how Paris knows Achilies’Heel is fatal. In the original epics, it’s Apollo who kills Achilies. But being a god doesn’t mean knowing everything. How does Apollo know, a mystery too.

In the beginning of the movie, Achilies lets out the secret to a boy during sleep. But it’s not likely for TROY to have a FBI or CIA to get that information and pass it to Paris. So the only possibility is:

After Hector’s death, Paris has grown up a little bit. Since no one can kill Achilies face to face, Paris wants to have a try to snipe him from distance. He finds a Counter-Strike manual and uses CS as a sniping training course. When he reads that the heel is the only body part that you can’t snipe a man by one shot at it, he wants to have a test. But at that moment, Greeks break into the city. Thinking this is a good opportunity to test his weapons and sniping skills, Paris pickes up a rifle and goes out. As soon as he runs out of his house, he sees Achilies holding his cousin. He snipes him to make sure if the manual book is right. It turns out to be a “blind cat catches dead mouse” ending.

I dont know what to say. but i will say it is only a movie

Err, he didn't shoot the arrow into his heal on purpose. I thought that was obvious But maybe it wasn't, he was just in a rage and started shooting arrows at Achilles (he's not a very good warrior anyway) and it happens to go into his heal.

Actually I think what it is, is that the movie was supposed to be more realistic than the epic, like maybe what might have really hapenned. I don't think shooting Achilles in the heel would kill him, after all Paris did shoot him a lot more before he died. I think Paris merely knew that shooting him in the heel would make it very hard for him to walk or run.

The other shots didn't seem to affect Achilles as much as the one to the heal IIRC. They were trying to keep alot of it real but Achilles mother was a goddess in the film, that was established at the beginning of the film when she and Achilles talked, IIRC she was being very godlike and even foretold the future.

It's obvious... He wanted to shoot him in his Achilles tendon...

I don't think ancient troy had Counter-Strike

The movie suuuucked.  But yeh, I think it was a lucky shot.

Yeah, they had it.

Just repleace Glocks with swords, the AWP with a fire-bows and hackers with those rolling fire balls.

I don't think the movie sucks. I've never expected the movie to be like the epic or the mythology. I've long since sensed that the movie would try to be realistic. But it turns out that the movie doesn't convey what it wants to say well.

I enjoy the movie alot because it seems odd that it reminds me of a lot of games.

*In the beginning, Achilies killed a huge "Ureal Tournament bot" by a Q3A strafe jumping.
*The landing of the Trojan beach made me think of Medal of Hohor.
*The fight between Hector and the giant Greek guy reminded me of Heretic 2 Bladematch.
*When Achilies arrived at the Trojan gate alone to take out Hector, The long-distance camera made me want to snipe him.
