It is my base understanding that the new PB update give's Admins full use of every thing that Q3A Admins have been using for some time now.

To this end I would now imagine that admins now have say over my game settings...and thus I can count on the same bullshit I dealt with in Q3A that caused me to leave it far sooner than I would other wise.

For those that don't see the problem...let me explain it.

Server A: says you can only have a mouse sensitivity of 2-8 other wise you can't join.

Server B: says you can only have a mouse sensitivity of 8-20 other wise you can not join.

Server C: says you can only have a mouse sensitivity of 5 and thats it..other wise you can't join.

So here shortly finding a good server can and probably will become a more more difficult effort than it ever was before.

I do hope that in fact this is not the case and that the var lmits will continue to be set by only Raven and Even Ballance, thus providing a globle set standard that one can count on and expect.

If this does turn out to be true...well guys then I guess it was nice hanging with yeah...but got to go.

Well with the cheats they have out these days I don't really see that as a valid option.

Actually I'm surprised not to be seeing you do some sort of cheer at the prospect of my leaving.

The majority of servers run pb, so that isn't an option.

LOL no its just to make a point...but maybe with some no nothing admins...it could be.

I've since heard from one source that the admin useable var setting check is not in this release...but its suppose to be coming at some point here in the near future.

The checks that are currently in place are global - every server uses the same set of rules. They want to make it so that admins decide - ie. each server has it's own rules, no matter how stupid. Only morons will play on servers with stupid rules, so the admins will have to make their rules fairly flexible if they actually want people to play on their servers. I don't think you'll find it as bad as you expect NoLogic, I guess only time will tell..

Well as soon as that crap goes live...I'm packing up my toys and going home...I won't be around to find out how bad it is or isn't..I've gone through it once with Q3A and don't see one #### reason to put up with the crap again. I'll go buy my self a ####ing playstation and be done with the whole ####ing thing...I have NO love for this #### bar none.

I love to death what Raven has done thus far and give them major prop's for being the best when it comes to being responceable and handling the whole deal....but admin var limits...sorry not my thing now or ever.

I only see bad things in it...I see not a #### bit of good.
