I hate to preech to you, but I had the sad experience of seeing two dead bodies tonight. A head on collision between a GMC Sonoma and a Chevy Blazer sent one man 30 feet from his truck, and into the grass near to a Parking lot I was in. The other man was crushed (and probably impaled) by his steering column when the engine compartment collapsed into the drivers seat.

For your own sakes, people, please wear a seatbelt.

Some things you see make you so sick, and change your life so much. And now by the age of 17, i've seen three people die in person, I hope to never see it again.

as do I... the only accident I ever viewed was when a motorcyclist tried to bail before hitting the side of an SUV at 40.  We took a couple pictures of the accident and gave them to the police... for some reason the cops sent them back to us in the mail months later... which is wierd, but I think the cyclist died in the hospital...

I grew up ignoring seatbelts till I was in my teens.  That's when the laws were enacted.  Before that, we were free range kids.  My folks had a station wagon with about an acre of space behind the back seat to roam around in.

Nowadays, I can't imagine not wearing it.   Like Alpha, it just feels weird.

Driving and passenger, I always wear it... Like you said, it feels weird not to... I do sometimes go w/out in the back seat.  I know I shouldn't, but I guess it's not always intentional...  Anyway, sorry you had to experience that, LB.

I always wore a seat belt when I was younger and I went out somewhere with my father or mother,I got funny looks when I did. When I first started driveing I started buckleing-up from first time (this was before it was made the law). It would feel wierd without buckleing-up first, like something was really wrong
