hello i downloaded and installed the 1.06 patch for soldier of forutne as i have not got the gold edition. it downloaded and installed successfully. i then downloaded and installed the 1.07 patch to play multiplayer. this downloaded and installed with no problems as well. so then i went to the start menu and clicked on soldier of fortune. before downloading these patches the game worked fine. when i clicked on it now the screen flashed then went back to the desktop. i tried going to c/programfiles/raven/sof and accessing it from there but the same thing happened. PLEASE HELP. thanks

Strange. My only suggestion would be to uninstall/reinstall the game and patches.

Do the next. If your starting from SOF 1.03, the very first release after the demo. You better install the 1.06 aka Gold patch. It's around 27Mb Thereafter, to play on the current servers that are avaiable you better installed the 1.07F patch. This is the FIXED patch compared the first released 1.07.
