Major League Online, an online league for games such as Counter-Strike, Far Cry, and boasting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as well as other games, has announced that they will be running a mapping contest for Counter-Strike as they need a custom map for rotation. Read on for more information.

First prize will be awarded the free use of a 12-man private server for two months or you may choose $100. The map will be used in rotation for the season(s).
Second place will be awarded free use of a 12-man private server for one month or you may choose $50. The map will be used in rotation for the season(s). The deadline is August 20th.

Be wary, if you compete it says you must hand over the source files (*.wad, *.bsp) for 'copyright' purposes however, you will be given the same full credit nonetheless. They changed this from including the source files (*.rmf) because of public outcry against release them. You can infer from the reading, that they planned to 'fix' any problems with the maps on their own. It seems now that they will not do that as they will ask the mapper (since he will be the only one with the source). Interesting.
