i was just wondering when soldier of fortune 3 is comming out or if it has been started on. Can any one help me find info about it???

When the current projects are out of the pipeline, they might concider making sof3. Check back in 2007 if game is available then

Ok, I was gonna start my own thread, but I managed to spot this one...
I have a related question to SoF3.
Originally Ravensoft Developers told/hinted to us a SoF3 was going to be based off the Quake4 engine, once it was completed.
Well now that Quake4 has been delayed  much more then expected originally, is there any plan or have there been any thoughts as to developing SoF3 off another engine, due to Quake4 not coming out for awhile? As in producing the game before Quake4, opposed to producing it after.

well, i think that since the quake 4 game engine is based on the doom 3 game engine, you shouldn't expect q4 to come out b4 doom 3.

My question is directly about quake4 and I think its pretty obvious that doom3 is coming out before q4 (duh).
I'm asking whether or not sof3 as a project is still planned on being developed after q4 and if plans or ideas have been discussed to work on it before finishing q4.

If you'd ask me they should just use the same ol' Q3 engine again. That engine has been tested through time and has been proved that it's really good. If they just move the focus more at the MP aspect and give us half the arsenal of which can be found in Ravenshield, a bunch of small to huge maps, remove all the bugs (fixing the shotty i.e.).... then I'm very happy.

I am 300 percent sure that there will be a sof3,I have seen some signs which point it out.

but since its not good to announce a new part ehy won't. Currently many FPS shooters and Ravensoft doesn't wanna announce things yet. They concentrate on quake4 first and after that .... sof3 ;)

so expect it to be around the end of 2005. I suggested this before. Ravensoft if you ever read this its better to release a patch with some fixes and some extra maps/weapons.

If we're extremely lucky Quake4 will be done by the end of 2005, let alone SoF3 if its going to be based on the Q4 engine.
