Shot, bloody nice job.

The animationg system of sof2 is really kickass, just a bit hard to understand.

Yeah Stannum thanks for your help dude, basically your max file helped me ALOT with the bones. As to the XSI being text format, well yeah, 3DS Max exported it with the texture paths, except that this plugin I was using was a newer version, 2.5 I believe,  so Carcass had trouble compiling it, it didnt write the texture to the GLM, and you're supposed to use XSI 2.0 also. Hand placed is done through buffers, all you have to do is create a bone, name it so it corresponds the inview or the weapons, forgot which one it was, but its best to use the same bone name as in the animation youre using.

I actually coded the M9 into the game already, but somehow in the Outfitting menu, I select the M1911 and Beretta shows up, select the SOCOM and M1911 shows up, select the Talon and SOCOM shows up ingame, select the M9 and the Talon shows up, any one know the solution?

Adding new weapons is client side, so you must compile all three of these.

cgame, ui, game


every client must have them. the server just needs game.

A gamemode for the Unreal Tournament series where you have a weapon that kills your opponent, provided you have hit him/her, in one shot. The opponent also gibs.

So, Instagib.

Yeah I edited and compiled cgame, game and all that, everything is fine, and I can use the gun in game, except like i said, everything is messed up in the outfitting menu, Talon gets you a M1911, SOCOM the M9, etc.

I have another question though, my next task is to try and import the HK G36 rifle, but the major problem is, the bone names. I remember someone made a reference file for the handguns, with all the bone names and everything, so if anyone knows the bone names for an Assault Rifle, tell me.

Modview is your best friend. you can use it to open the glm with corresponding gla. You can view all the bone names and bone hierarchy.

Import the G36 Into sof2?

Thats pretty much the same process as for a pistol.

Don't really understand that, but hand placement is done via a buffer model system. Just an empty (well, 1 face) glm with bones for flash, eject, lhand and rhand placement.

EDIT:

bah, 3 replies is a little bit of an overkill.

well my problem is exporting it as .glm. i have not clue how to animate it or compile it or something. stannam, can i send u my model and u do it??? plzz
