on sof 1 multiplayer when u click on the icon to join the server it asks u fro a WON USername and password. i have not got one so what do i type in

I am unsure on what you mean here, But you could either mean a server password or a violance lock password. The server password you will only get from the server host. The viol password you will need to get from the person who put the lock on.

thanks- i managed to fix the problem by going on settings and changing the LAN PLAY ONLY setting to no and now it does not ask me for a password. but now i have another problem. when i click on join server there is no connections-is this just because no-one plays soldier of fortune 1 anymore or is there a problem with my connection/game? thanks

you need to patch your game to the latest version .. SOF 1.07 F WON is no longer part of the game , cd keys are also not needed anymore either please see http://www.planetsoldieroffortune.com/sof/tech/
