We have made a few simple pages containing the facts and emails as to what happened.

We are very regretful for the whole ordeal and thier ignorance, lack of sportsmanship and ability to lead a prosporus and promising community. Maybe they have learned from this - I know we have - and I hope it doesnt happen to any of you that get in thier way.

It is a tragety for our team to pay the ultimate price and be banned for such a simple problem. Your whole team doesnt even get banned for cheating! And yet, we did and we didnt even cheat.

Here is the link,

Hmmmm, sad sad sad.

Its a shame that they implement a system, but cannot maintain it correctly. That was the first problem.

Second problem is the way that they presented themselves.

Hopefully they will be able to learn from their own mistakes, one major valid reason to post what you have in the way you have.

I appreciate the recognition. This has been hard on us - but we are cautiously moving on to other ladders.

Again, thanks.

*Tip of the day*

Read rules before you join a ladder...it helps prevent slip ups like this.

This is a very one sided account of the story...and regardless..it caused the ladder to shut down for a week because somebody didn't read rules.

The punishment was harsh...but nothing any of us can do about it.

My god, they didn't allow for more than 15 records? If that is true I'd sure like to talk to the guy who programmed that... nowadays the average practical limit is 4 million at least... and they didn't even enforce their own rules in their scripts it seems... someone needs a good newbie guide...

Yeah, I'm a programmer, so I tend to look at those things first :). Anyways, such a shame they screwed up and in turn banned you and all of your clan's members. Even though we didn't get to see as much from their side, I still think they could've handled it a bit more professionally... "a bit" meaning "a whole #### lot" in this case...

I do not know the entire story...but the rules are very specific on how to challenge teams. This guy Knuckles acted like a child on the forums and then turned around the next and challenged 15 teams or so.

In the eyes of the admins at the time...it appeared to be a childish stunt. After the fact...and after realizing Knuckles made a mistake...they said the squad could rejoin next season.

As for the professionalism...Clanwarz has been carrying themselves very well. They run a smooth ladder...and it's all about the SOF2 community. I wish more clans would sign up for next season so we can have a lot more fraggin going on.

And all this is from a neutral point of view...I just read the incident on clanwarz.  :)

You must give the team 48 hours to respond. You may not challenge another team untill your present challenge has been cleared or played.

Read the rules. I have nothing to gain here. I could care less except for the fact your actions shut the ladder down for a week because you were trying to get as many matches as you can to catch up on the ladder, which is a violation of the ladder concept they have setup...regardless of the fault of the system.

As for H@ze's response...I seriously doubt he has come here to read this post...nor do I care if he does. His comments were written out of frustration because he had to work on fixing the ladder you broke...so I think that entitles him to a bitter opinion.

Again...there are always two sides to every story.

Users rarely read any information.
thats an important lesson an admin had to learn in this case.

I suppose a wannabe "hacker" could have done the same, and brought the system down.
I could look at it like a free bar in a pub, with the rule "one drink per person only"... people will take advantage, even if they don't realise.

The problem with this issue is that one week prior to Knuckles doing what he did...they did have a hacker do what you said...and ruined the ladders. So...first reaction from the admins wasn't a pleasant reaction.

As I stated earlier...whether it was intentional or not...the infraction brought down the ladder for a week because somebody didn't follow the rules. Admit your own mistakes before you go casting down negative comments about other people.
