Since we won't see Longhorn before 2006 it seems MS decided to give new boost to XP family. The "new" XP, code named Reloaded, will have SP2 implemented as well as a bunch of other tweaks and new softwares, like WMP 10. More news HERE. Should see the light of day at the beginning of 2005, if not earlier.

I think from Me-->XP there was a real progression with features and stability. Hopefully this new OS is a nice improvement.

so are we all gona have to buy a new os to get service pack 2 now? oddly enough i had a login screan that was the matrix reloaded, looked funky, but i got bored off it

Nope! SP 2 will still be free for XP users. XP "Reloaded" will be a new OS all together...

yea i have to agree xp is realy very stable

i dont think it has ever crashed on me
