ok I have huge problem witch I have not been able to resolve.
I went here:
http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~thesynapse/compiling.php

did everything the right way. now on that page (the link) it says at one point :
''Also if you get the following error (when you are running the game):

Client/Server game mismatch: baseef-1/testmod-1

that means you have to run the game with the pureserver option off or just make the YourMod.bat file

stvoyhm +set fs_game YourMod +set sv_pure 0

and that will make the turn pureserver off for you.''
I did that and it did not work :( any help would be apreciated

I think the error is also caused by changing baseef to testmod in one of the files when you shouldn't have.
but I don't acctualy know.

yes I did change the name but shouldn't sv_pure 0 resolve that??

have you ever modded before ?? :s10:
because the whole point of modding is actually changing the name. go to the link I provided on my first post and you will see why I changed the name.
someone who knows how to mod plz help!!!

What did you change the name of?

Although I'm sure your problem is easy to fix...I need to know more to help you fix it. I haven't had the error myself but I can bug fix easily enough.

well
I did exacly what was on the website I provided on my first post
I changed the game version in g_local.h to tesmod and gameversion in bg_public.h to testmod-1

have i modded before? i am the lead frucking programmer of a mod team of course i have. just find the testmod-1 and change it back, it will work fine like that.

alright I got it. now you are right the thing is I think neural link has either mislead us on his tutorial or I am dumber than I thought :s9: so plz go to the website in my first post : http://dynamic5.gamespy.com/~thesynapse/compiling.php
and then u will see:

neural link says :

(example)

Now open Code-DM\game\bg_public.h and do the same sort of thing for the line #define GAME_VERSION "baseef-1" and change it to something like


(example)
#define GAME_VERSION "YourMod-1" ''
