I would seriously like to see Sonic Mayhem back into the game but I think I stand for alot of people when I say

If you heard his work in the movie Resident Evil then no doubt would he be a fine suitor for Quake IV's music. If you haven't heard his work in the Resident Evil music just so you know he totally customized his music with 'no words' just complete guitars and drums just like Sonic Mayhem.

I have to admit that the music in Resident Evil was really cool and reminded me of good industrial music, I was surprised to read Marily Mansons' name for it. But I don't like his music normally only the RE music, but it depends on the taste, so no bullshit reply.

Somehow I think that this cool independent stuff isn't available nowadays so cool in games like in early times where pc players where one group and pc games felt like pc games....... I don't know how Q4 is and I don't talk about it now but many sequels are only ports etc. #### and don't have the right gamefeeling like thei predeccessors.

I really like Raven Games, very much ! but if they didn't paid much attention to the music (think about quake, it always had cool music which you listened nowhere else!) then I dunno what they have in mind, so first choice had to be sonic mayhem, let's hope and we will see in some days besides gameplay .

Well, the music in Quake4 is midi created orchestral pieces.  The good thing is it's pure digital so the very best sound quality, the bad thing is that there is no artistic emotional effects to the performance of the music as like in a live performance either by a real orchestra or or other live instruments.

I do think the soundtrack will be worth listening to.  It won't be music like songs which is simply playing in the background.  But, will be designed to respond to the action.  The overall effect will be better integrated into the SP game.  But, it doesn't look like there is any background soundtrack for MP games...so, you can play your own audio tracks for that.

Well some orchestrated stuff is okay or in Games like Medal of Honor etc. but I was/am looking forward with Quake to have their own industrial style soundtrack again, it was one of the aspects of quake (besides q1, but q4 isn't really in relationship to q4 from settings etc.).

The music in trailers sounded good. I don't think sonic mayhem is in it, if not I really want to know why not.
